Kitchen Inspo — shelbey w.

I'm fairly certain I am most excited about our kitchen when it comes to the new build. In the past 7 years I have moved 5 different times. Only one of those moves had an adequate kitchen space (my one bedroom college apartment - kitchen was actually really big!)

I've always enjoyed cooking but our current rental house doesn't have the most functional space for someone who cooks a lot. I find myself getting frustrated at times when the counter space is cluttered within 10 minutes of prepping a meal. Something I'm super excited about finally having is...dun dun dunnnn... AN ISLAND! I feel like I will immediately fall in love with having the extra prep and counter space an island offers.

We are still a little indecisive on the cabinet color. For the most part, we THINK we are going to go with a very light grey. BUT, my mind goes a little rogue sometimes and I fall back in love with the industrial look of a dark navy cabinet. Maybe we'll go with grey cabinets with a navy island? Who knows!
